THANK YOU!!

Thank you to those of you who came out on Saturday and served in our local schools.  Gym walls were painted, landscaping projects completed, much needed cleaning and organizing were done and so much more.  God is already using our time there in amazing ways and has indeed opened a door for us in these schools.  The schools were blessed but so were the sweet volunteers who came out and invested their day making a difference for Christ.  Here is a quote from a local teacher:

"The team at the school was awesome.  It was so fun to serve today alongside Grace Church. My heart is blessed by all the people and work that got done. The custodian was pretty amazed at all that was accomplished. Thank you, Mindy and Grace Church. Oak Point needed some TLC and the Spirit of God brought in today in all the workers."

Special thanks to Leigha Sather, Anita Anderson and Edite Izumi for all their hard work on this event!

PARENTING CLASSES

Foundations Training for parents of 4-6th graders at Grace Church, M209, October 12th, 9am

The purpose of Foundations is to introduce young people to the core doctrinal themes of scripture so that the truth of the bible will become deeply rooted in their life and provide a solid foundation for beliefs and behaviors. Foundations is an in-depth, high-commitment, and doctrinally-driven course.  Come and learn your role in this training!!!  More details at http://www.atgrace.com/ministry/children-families/foundations

A parenting class, "Biblical Worldview:  Teaching Our Kids to Think Biblically in a Secular World" will be held at 9am on November 2nd in Room M209 at Grace.  Description of the class:  From a very early age, our children are surrounded by a secular view of the world which often leaves them with the impression the Bible is nothing but a bunch of made up stories. Teaching our kids to be confident the Bible is true, test everything through the lens of the Bible and see the big picture of biblical history is critical to helping them stand firm in their Christian faith and be prepared for the challenges they will face when they eventually leave home. In her talk, Shyla Allard will share practical ideas centered on these three themes to help us teach our kids to think biblically.

PRAYER

Upcoming prayer dates are the following Wednesdays, October 15, 22 and 29.  Join us as we pray for our schools, students, educators and their families at 7pm on these evenings in room CA120C.
